Our Nursery

Crookhill Early Years is based on the school site of Crookhill Primary School, and is privately owned and managed by Mrs Kelly Murray and Mrs Cheryl Metcalf, we are both qualified Early Years Teachers.

The nursery is in a pupose built open space, designed around children's needs.  We are located in the middle of a beautiful school field that provides us with space to explore and learn in the natural enviroment.  The area is a safe place for children to learn and explore.  We have an amazing Forest School area on site that we use following the forest school ethos. 

Our nursery aims to provide high quality care and education:-

• Enjoy a safe and stimulating environment, we want children to be happy, confident and resiliant leaners. 
• We give generous care and attention through our high ratio of staff to children.
• Children are given opportunities to join with other children to play, explore and learn together.
• The practioners support children to extend their learning and development by building on what he/she can already do.

We believe that a positive relationship between parents and ourselves is crucial to the child’s well being, development and progress.  “Children benefit most where there is a trusting and mutually supportive partnership” (Ofsted 2001).
